Since November we've been working like crazy on remolding one of our rental houses for a studio. It's a StudioHouse and you can read about it here, here and here. Since we've started I've painted very little. We're not done remolding but sometimes I just have to paint. So after working on the sewing room I pulled out one of my Inspiration Angel paintings. Here's a little painting in progress (PIP) series I'm sharing. It's on a bright yellow background which is a little different for me. I find I actually like it. The camera actually made this more pink than it actually is. I think it was trying to adjust for the yellow. The paintings not complete but I thought it was done enough to show some progression. This is a friend's daughter. I saw her image on her Facebook page and thought it was the perfect look for this painting. It kind of just says, "Keep trying", to me. It's not ideal painting from a 3" image but luckily she's a familiar face. Here's part of the painting. It's acrylics, fabric, and gold leaf. I'm super excited about these (there are a few others) and how different they are from my normal paintings. I'm hoping to have them ready for Christmas Prints.
Do you every need inspiration to "try" sometimes?

Your brilliance has always brought tears to my eyes but this one has to be the best thing ever. You know how intensely I love her and your painting just brings it to the surface. You are so gifted and I thank you and I love you!
