How do you create the next generation of sewists? I'm not positive, but it doesn't hurt to start them out young. A couple months back we visited Hamilton (we only live 20 minutes away), Missouri where the fun and famous Missouri Star Quilt Company is located. After we visited with Jenny she let Joseph pick out his very first "candy" precut pack. Now he thinks he has to "snow", that is sew. Joseph checking out a Jenny Tutorial in the MSQC Main Shop. When we got home and he couldn't wait to start. His very first quilt project! Who are the next generation of sewists that you can teach?

"Your Home Learning Environment will significantly influence your student's achievement" Here's 1 easy way to make studying an enjoyable idea - create a Study Station using Carolyn Gavin's fabric collection Handpicked by Windham Fabrics. I've created - 1) Inspiration Angels Interactive Art™ - The pattern for "Learn" is available for download below Inspiration Angels Interactive Art™ is art that you add to. Kids can write their fave book titles or thoughts they have about learning on the "books" below the boy in the art. It's more of the ME + YOU = Look What We Can Do. This can also be made into a quilt. (Which if you do #shareitwithshannon because I'd love to see it.) 2) Pear Buckets - Mod Podge® fabric cut out pears onto buckets 3) Apple Crate - Fabric covered crate (video instructions for my gift wrap version is here which is basically the same for fabric - just use Mod Podge® instead of spray adhesive & no need to pre-paint it) 4) Reversible Tablecloth - I've added a 3" border to the fabrics I've included the downloadable pattern for the Inspiration Angels Interactive Art™ so that you can make your own. Print on an oversized printer since the pattern is 24" x 48". Canvas was bought at Micheals or make it into a quilt
