50th Birthday Celebration • 50 Portraits in 50 Days - 32/50

Today's 50th Birthday Celebration was hard and easy at the same time. It was hard because the image was such a low resolution that it came out only about an inch square. Tiny! The only way I could do it was because her features were so easy. Kind of classic. So that's what saved me. Actually, I don't know how well I did compared to her in person, since I've never met her before. But, I think I did as good as my abilities would let me. I also don't think I'll challenge myself that much again. Painting #32.

Sorry to have presented you with such a tough challenge though :-/

I had no idea you were really going to try with this little pic but you saved me hunting for a higher res one (so many of many of mine are iPhone pix - although I thought this was a proper camera pic and so resolution would be better)(?)

Life's about the journey, and challenges help that. It goes along with that video interview we heard of Brenden & Marie where he talks about the "drive for challenge". That drive is exactly why I did this 50th birthday celebration this way and it hasn't been a disappointment. Thanks for going on part of the journey with me.
