This quilt project was done by grandmother/granddaughter team, Anita Miller and Aleah Perry. Aleah just had a brother after 4 sisters. About time to introduce blues. They made this quilt for him. This Baby Block pattern is from Missouri Star Quilt Company and of course features my new fabrics - Cottage Joy. I'm not tiring of see the quilts come in. Don't forget to add your name to my email list.
My friend, Stephanie Atwood of Front Porch Quilters, has done some fantastic things with my Windham Fabric Collection Cottage Joy. You'll want to watch for more of what Stephanie can do. Below is the first quilt she did. The quilt design and tutorial, Double Square Star, is from MSQC. For months I couldn't share anything we were working on. Now much is happening so if you'd like to follow along join the email list.

Windham Fabrics specialize in Quilting cotton. My Cottage Joy fabric Collection was designed for just that - Quilts. A fun part of the fabric collection for me is sending out the fabric and seeing what comes back in. I'll be sharing the many quilts some wonderful women created. Here we have a quilts by Allyson Wood of A Little of Everything. She created several and none of them look alike.
Meet COTTAGE JOY I know this one is anti-climactic because the whole collection is called Cottage Joy but I didn't really thing about naming the main floral that. I hadn't found a name that really felt right. Then, I was talking to my daughter about it and she said you should call it, "Cottage Joy. That's what I thought it was going to be." And then I was like, duh! It was just right. So this is a shout out to Cassandra who nailed the name down.
The whole collection is on pre-sale through Windham's Representatives. It'll be in stores around August. In the meantime, join our email list to be part of the journey. Meet ROSY Meet "Rosy". Janae Hutchison gave us "Rosy Charm" to work with. But we felt a sweet, simple pattern deserved a sweet, simple name. So we shortened it. I don't think she'd mind that we edited it. I've known Janae since she was a teenager and she babysat some of my kids. She's all grown up but she's as sweet as they come. So, it totally fits that she named this fabric.

Meet MEADOW FLOWERS Hello "Meadow Flowers," named by Chelsea Perry. She's not part of the quilting group that's been slaying the name game and she only shared it yesterday. But we loved it.
One more fabric still to name, see the fabrics in this post and we haven't picked it yet. So leave us a new one. I'll announce that name tomorrow.
